Our lives can mirror the cycles of nature and the miracle of the seed — death-like dormancy, gestation, and blooming.
Thus the descent into darkness is not to be feared, for it carries the promise of new life. Persephone’s journey affirms that - only by embracing the descent and the dark can joy become real and sufficient.
