Many people are aware that we are at a major crossroads in human development. 50 years on since the beginning of the cultural revolution that came in the 1960s, society is beginning to bifurcate between those who just want to go on with the same socio-cultural and socio-economic arrangements, only with more advanced technology, and those who see that we're heading into a different world through a change in values and consciousness that is not actually driven by technology but is assisted by it. Cultural revolutions, however, can be as destructive as political revolutions. The West's rediscovery of reincarnation since the early 19th century is of profound significance in our cultural predicament. The evening will be opened by the Festival Choir.
