Arta promenado - Paralela Universo 2025

Join us on the 3rd Saturday in August every year for Paralela Universo - the worldwide (local) festival of Esperanto. Loka ĉeestu, globe festu!

This year we will host a walking tour of the wonderful public art in downtown Halifax - both famous pieces and those you may not know existed. Thanks to Kate for the great idea! Here is the route:

We will meet at Raymond Taavel Park, 1004 Barrington Street (corner of Inglis & Barrington Streets). You will recognize us because of the green Esperanto flag or Esperanto T-shirts.

Everyone is welcome (of any Esperanto ability - or even those just curious about the language). Put your Duolingo lessons to real-life use! The tour will be principally in Esperanto, but some English, French, and Spanish may be used too, so speakers of all those languages are welcome. There is no cost to the tour.

Note that we will be walking for 1-2 hours (with a stop possible for lunch) and the weather forecast is sunny and 25°C, so good walking shoes and a bottle of water is recommended.

Aliĝu al ni la trian sabaton de aŭgusto ĉiujare por Paralela Universo - la tutmonda (loka) festivalo de Esperanto. Loka ĉeestu, globe festu!

Ĉi-jare ni gastigos promenadon por vidi la mirindajn publikajn artaĵon tra la urbocentro de Halifakso - kaj famaj pecoj kaj tiuj, kiujn vi eble ne konas. Dankon al Kate pro la bonega ideo! Jen la itinero:

Ni renkontiĝos ĉe Raymond Taavel Park, 1004 Barrington Street (angulo de Inglis kaj Barrington Streets). Vi rekonos nin pro la verda EO-flago aŭ Esperantaj T-ĉemizoj.

Ĉiuj estas bonvenaj (kun ajna Esperanta kapablo - aŭ eĉ tiuj nur scivolaj pri la lingvo). Uzu viajn Duolingo-lecionojn relavive! La turneo estos ĉefe en Esperanto, sed iom da angla, franca kaj hispana lingvoj ankaŭ povas esti uzataj, do parolantoj de ĉiuj tiuj lingvoj estas bonvenaj. La turneo estas senkosta.

Notu ke ni piediros dum 1-2 horoj (kaj elbe haltos por tagmangxi), kaj la verterprognozo estas suno kaj 25°C. do kunportu bonajn suojn por promeni kaj eble botelon de akvo.
