Like the rest of the planet, COVID-19 has messed things up a bit for us. We'll be "Social Distancing" for the next few moths. We'll be meeting "Virturally" on Zoom at 1:30PM. RSVP for the URL you need to attend. The dress code is "Lock-down Casual" and masks are optional.

Duolingo learners, newcomers and experienced Esperanto speakers are welcome.

If you are new to Esperanto, one of the members will answer your questions, suggest resources that will speed your learning and describe the Esperanto community and culture.

About Esperanto: Esperanto can be thought of as a good second language for all to learn. Esperanto started as a planned language and has become a living language. Having no exceptions to grammar rules, spelling and pronunciation gives Esperanto an advantage over most languages. Because Esperanto speakers do not have a "country," the language is as politically neutral a language as is possible. Esperanto is "fair" in the sense that it removes the advantage that an English speaker has over all others, whose native language is not English, when they have to use English at International meetings. (Substitute French or any national language for English and the advantage remains.)
