Tarpology Sunday

I'm really excited about this event. I think it would be so much fun to try out different tarp configurations! There are maybe 66 different ways. But I would be happy if we could nail just one or two.

I have never set up a tarp but I have the DD Superlight 4x4. With the help of youtube (or someone who may come across this who is confident at building tarp shelters) we could help eachother learn some tarp skills and knots.

Please bring

▫️Warm clothing.
▫️Wellies or boots

If you have the following, please bring
▫️A tarp
▫️Paracord (lots)
▫️Pegs
▫️Walking poles
▫️Knife (for cutting cord)
▫️Camping chair or sit pad.
▫️Kitchen - You could bring your stove and we could have outdoor lunch and hot drinks together too.

I didn't want my lack of knowledge to stop me from hosting this event. It may be in our favour and even more fun to learn together. I have all different types of tensioners we could try too. I don't think I've ever been this enthusiastic about a Wild Essex event before 😍 By the end of Sunday, you will know how to set up a tarp or, if you have done this before, contribute massively to the day.

This event will be cancelled if it is due to rain but at the time of writing, it is forcast to be lovely 😎

📍Meeting place - Danbury Country Park Woods Car Park, Woodhill Road

There are many entrances to Danbury Country Park. Make sure you come to the right one.

Please meet us on the patch of grass by the biggest tree in the centre of the car park at 10.30am. I have uploaded a picture to the event page.
