Essex TTRPG One shot at Mythic Horizons games

What are we playing?: Dungeon Crawl Classics One Shot, with the potential of becoming a running game.

What's Dungeon Crawl Classics?: DCC is table top role playing game with the same basic mechanics as DND5E and Pathfinder, however it is much easier and faster to play.

When is it?: Friday August 8th at 5:30PM

Where?: Mythic Horizons 1546 Eastern Blvd, Essex, MD 21221

Do I need to know how to play the game?: Not at all! DCC is super simple and you don't need any specific knowledge to play it. I will have multiple pre-made characters ready to go. Both new and experienced players are welcome.

Do I need to bring anything?: I will have sheets, paper, pencils and dice ready for everyone to use. However feel free to bring any supplies or lucky dice you may want.

How much does it cost?: Zero gold coins, however there are drinks, snacks, and shiny pieces of cardboard available for purchase at the shop if you would like to support them.

Hello, everyone! I will be running a Dungeon Crawl Classics one-shot with the possibility of it becoming a regular group if enough people are interested. As stated above, you won't need to bring anything but yourself, and it's completely free. Dungeon Crawl Classics is part of a group of games called the OSR (Old School Revival/Renaissance) that aims to emulate the early days of DND. Your characters aren't legendary heroes or ancient dragons in human form, but rather everyday people thrust unwillingly into circumstances much larger and more dangerous than themselves. As such, caution is required, and careful planning wins the day over brute strength. We will be running through a level zero adventure module. known in DCC as a “meat grinder” because you start off with four characters, knowing that several likely won’t survive!
