Who is invited to the panel (tentative, subject to availability):

Felipe M., AI developer, Blip and Bloop
Developing an AI on image development called Bloop (imagine Midjourney) and natural language processing tool for verbal interaction with AI called Blip (imagine Chat GPT). He is keen on not having a digital footprint so in person meeting is the best way to find out what he is up to.

Otto Mättas, AI engineer, AIRE AI & Robotics Estonia
Otto is a seasoned IT engineer and architect with 14 years of international experience. He has spent the last four years focused on artificial intelligence, including machine learning, expert systems, and human-computer interaction. Alongside developing technical solutions, Otto has a keen interest in processes and technology management, as well as ethics and legislation in the domain of artificial intelligence. He has a track record of creating value across a range of sectors, including private, public, and third sectors. Currently, Otto's aim is to showcase Estonian AI and robotics solutions on a global platform.

Gea Lepik, judge Tallinn Circuit Court
Previously director of Intellectual Property and Competition Law Division at the Ministry of Justice and previous advisor to the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Estonia. Lecturer of Intellectual Property law and Private International Law at the University of Tartu. Judge Lepik is doing her PhD on the topic of Conditions and Content of Legal Protection of Trade Marks in the Context of Changing Functions of (the Law of) Trade Marks.

Henrik Trasberg, Ministry of Justice
Legal Advisor on AI and New Technologies. Experienced IT and Intellectual Property lawyer with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry. Skilled in Legal Research, Corporate Law, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Copyright Law. Strong information technology professional with a Master of Laws - LLM focused in Law and Technology from Tilburg University.

Tambet Toomela, attorney of Eversheds Sutherland

Tambet has 15 years of experience in counselling and representing clients. Tambet consults clients on various intellectual property related matters, such as acquisition, registration, licensing and protection, trademark disputes, and assists them in handling matters concerning IT solutions, products, and services. He serves as the data protection officer (DPO) for many key-clients of the firm. From 2015 to 2020 Tambet was a lecturer at the University of Tartu, delivering lectures and seminars on ICT litigation.

Taivo Liivak, attorney at PWC Legal

Taivo Liivak is an information technology attorney. In January 2021, he successfully defended his dissertation titled ‘Tort Liability for Damage Caused by Self-driving Vehicles under Estonian Law’ in the University of Tartu School of Law. In addition to a doctorate in law, Taivo holds master’s degrees in law, IT law and conference interpreting as well as bachelor’s degrees in law and English language and literature from the University of Tartu.
