Roseline Coffee General Meet & Greet

Hey Members,

Our first event will take place on March 1st at 2pm at Roseline Coffee on NE Alberta Street. This is a general meet & greet event to start off. Come, grab some coffee, and introduce yourself to another person. Emma and I (Savannah) will introduce ourselves to the group and lay out some general ground rules. This is a casual setting with zero pressure to speak to the entire group or share any information you’re not comfortable sharing.

The purpose for this group is to create a community of support for young adults around Portland that are experiencing estrangement from family. As we all know, it takes a lot to get to this point. Our goal is to create a completely judgement-free and empathic environment. These Meetups do not exist to change someone's mind, pressure, or criticize their decision. We gather to empower each other, share resources, and lend an ear. Upon the group's success, we hope to coordinate holiday-related gatherings and other events that are typically spent with family.

As we navigate / workshop this group for the first time, we ask that people communicate their concerns, feedback, suggestions, etc. through the Meetup platform or to Emma and me (Savannah) directly.
