Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) in Los Angeles
ETA LA is a community for entrepreneurs interested in buying, operating, and growing existing businesses.
Instead of starting from zero, ETA offers a path to business ownership by acquiring an established business and building from there.
As Walker Deibel points out in Buy Then Build, startups face roughly a 90% failure rate, while established businesses acquired using SBA financing have historically had roughly a 98% non-default rate.
Meetups are designed to be interactive and peer-driven. Meet other people interested in acquiring and operating businesses, share what you're working on, compare notes, make connections, and help each other move deals and searches forward. No classroom format and no pitch sessions, just conversations with people actively exploring or participating in ETA.
