Join Developer Advocate Dennison Bertram from Zeppelin to learn how to create upgradable smart contracts and spin up super quick DApps using ZeppelinOS and ZepKit. The workshop will be a live-coding workshop, so bring your laptop!
About:
Zeppelin is a leading infrastructure company in the Ethereum space. Most well known for the OpenZeppelin library of smart contracts, Zeppelin also offered auditing for clients such as Coinbase, Ethereum Foundation and other top projects in the space. Zeppelin's offering: ZeppelinOS is a framework that allows for the creation of upgradable smart contracts. ZepKit is their new tool aimed for developers looking to get started quickly building Ethereum backed DApps in an all-in-one React based front end environment.
The workshop will walk through the ZepKit tutorial on how to create and use upgradable smart contracts, along with work through the pre-installed components that make building a React back front end easy and fast.
Setup your computer in advance by starting the ZepKit tutorial at home (so that all the dependencies are downloaded and installed):
In general you will need the latest versions of: Truffle, ZeppelinOS, and Ganache-cli installed. To avoid problems with wifi, please start the ZepKit tutorial linked above to have your ZepKit installed when you arrive.
