This Ethereum Amsterdam Meetup will be, for the second time, in Berlage meet & workspace - Amsterdam. This is part of the Beurs van Berlage (former Amsterdam Stock Exchange).

The collective understanding of the cryptocurrency phenomenon is still developing, which threatens to stall market development. Many parties are waiting for each other to make the next move: some entrepreneurs are waiting for ‘regulation’ and acceptance by banks, banks are also waiting for ‘regulation’ and regulators are waiting for ‘the market’. This early market stage clearly calls for pioneers who dare to boldly move forward into this uncharted territory and who have confidence that problems and challenges can be solved as they appear. The key is to find ways to capitalize on blockchain technology and the concept of decentralized concensus.

Gijs Burgers, consultant at Innopay and co-author of the recently published Cryptocurrency report, will reflect on how society is currently dealing with cryptocurrency related topics and will elaborate on what business models can be built with blockchain technology (like Bitcoin, Ethereum and other services that have not been imagined yet).
