Maker Dao Vision and Stable Coins

Hi everyone!
After a few months of pause on our events we decided to collaborate with other Blockchain meetup groups (Proof of Read for this one) to bring you remote Zoom events and keep you learning on Ethereum and related projects.

For this event we will be joined by Marc-Andre Dumas, Senior Integrations Engineer at the Maker Foundation whom will go over MakerDao vision, how it all works, and its ecosystem. We will also have the pleasure to have a general overview of the stable coin ecosystem by Concordia University.

MakerDAO was started in 2015. it is the protocol behind the stable coin DAI, or put simply 1 DAI = $1 USD. What makes it unique is each DAI is backed by Ether instead of MakerDAO actually having $1USD at the bank. But how does it work? and is this the only project that Maker is involved in?
