Please join us for a Game theory workshop & presentation of the Kleros project
Game theory is the study of mathematical models of conflict and cooperation between Intelligent and rational decision-makers. Blockchain is a technology that enables the creation of a decentralized ledger without requiring a trusted third party to guarantee its authenticity. Stakeholders still need to make particular actions in order for the ledger to work as expected. In order to do so, the system must reward honest actors and punish dishonest ones through game theoretical incentives. For example, in Bitcoin, miners are rewarded when they publish blocks which are included in the longest chain.
This workshop will introduce basic game theoretical concepts in the form of simple economic games played between the participants. The workshop does not require previous knowledge, and everyone is welcome.

Kleros is a Dispute Resolution Layer: an Ethereum organization that works as a decentralized third party which arbitrate disputes. It relies on game theoretic incentives for jurors to rule cases correctly. The result is a dispute resolution system that renders ultimate judgments enforced by smart contracts in a scalable, secure and decentralized way.
