Hard fork party!!

It's hard to believe that it's now over ten years since Satoshi's implementation of Bitcoin, the realisation of a peer-to-peer digital currency thought experiment. Blockchain technology has advanced a huge amount since 2008, but have we just witnessed an over-hyped technology that promises to change everything: from trustless payments to fully autonomous distributed organisations (DAOs) that issue commands to obedient humans on an unstoppable "world computer"?

2019's sure to be an interesting year. Will this year be the year for Ethereum to evolve and provide a fast, scalable, secure network suitable for enterprise use? Is incrementalism enough? Is it time for a new network to learn from Ethereum, borrow the best bits and go where Ethereum couldn't get to?

The format of this meetup is a little different to previous meetups. It's more of a social get-together for Ethereum meetup-goers to network, chat and get to know each other a little better.
