Why Jumper chose JUMP over Equity?
Details
Few crypto projects have made a bolder ownership choice this year than Jumper. Just a token, and a public sale that drew commitments many times larger than the amount raised.
Jumper has grown from a cross-chain bridging interface into a super-app for onchain finance. Now, as it spins out of LI.FI into an independent company, it is testing a simple idea: that the token should be the only way to own the value a project creates. We're bringing the person behind that decision to Ljubljana to explain how it actually works in practice, and what it took to pull off.
Joining us Marko Jurina (CEO) leads Jumper and its first-ever JUMP token sale, run through Legion. He'll share the thinking behind token-first ownership and an inside view of how the launch was planned and executed.
In this meetup Marko will cover:
- Why did Jumper choose JUMP as the only ownership asset, what does that mean for users, contributors and investors, and what trade-offs come with it?
- A behind-the-scenes look at the campaign that led to the sale. What does working with a platform like Legion actually involve? How do you build a community and a loyalty program that people trust years before a token exists? Expect concrete tips and tricks for anyone planning a launch or building a community.
