Ethereum is pleased to present a special legal panel and discussion on the legal and regulatory environment surrounding cryptocurrencies and decentralisation.

Panel Guests include:

Sian Jones - Coinsult

Siân heads COINsult, a regulatory compliance consultancy focused on digital currencies and consensus-based technologies. She advises fintech startups on regulatory, compliance and jurisdictional strategy and helps established businesses evaluate cryptocurrencies and blockchain, decentralised and distributed systems. Siân also founded EDCAB - European Digital Currency and
Blockchain Technology Forum, a Brussels-based public policy platform, and co-leads the Regulation and Banking Group of the UK Digital Currency Association.

Yves Nicholson - merkletree.io

Yves Jacques has mostly focused on the regulatory aspects of digital currencies and has closely monitored developments in the UK and EU. His main area of interest in this field is the aspect of litigation and arbitration in the context of digital currencies. As such, he has joined Merkletree.io the world leader on regulatory updates and information to track the latest developments in digital currencies and contribute to the growing database.

Chris James

Chris James is a senior IT lawyer, and a trustee of the Society for Computers and Law. Chris has given legal advice related to technology, regulation and contracts for clients including investment banks, fintech, adtech and telcos. Chris is a registered Apple iOS developer, and can be found at http://chrisjames.uk/

The panel will be chaired by Stephan Tual and topics of discussion will be crowdsourced from the attendees beforehand.

We expect this event to be very lively and cover a broad range of topics, so bring your business cards and your questions for the panel.

HOW TO GET THERE

The venue and date are secured thanks to the amazing people at the London Escalator.

Once you are at the address (you can't miss it, it's a huge building!), enter the "Foxcroft and Ginger Cafe" to the left of the big dog mural and make your way upstairs. We wear Ethereum t-shirts, don't be shy! :)

By Tube: Stop in WhiteChapel then turn left outside the station, orStepney Green (turn right), it's a 7 minute walk either way (there are buses if needed).
