Slepak and Uhrig on Group Income and Group Currency

Greg Slepak (https://twitter.com/taoeffect) and Travis Uhrig (https://twitter.com/travisformayor) will present two blockchain-based methods that a group can use to provide members with a basic income. The first, Group Currency (http://groupcurrency.org/) is a framework by which a group can provide members with a basic income through the creation of a new currency. Circles (https://ourbasicincome.wordpress.com/) (presented by Martin Köppelmann on Sept 6), is an example of a group currency.

Group Income is a method by which a group can provide its members with a basic income without need for the creation of a new currency. They will discuss how Group Income can be implemented on top of Ethereum.

Greg also works on DNSchain (https://github.com/okTurtles/dnschain), which offers a free and secure decentralized alternative while remaining backwards compatible with traditional DNS. Travis is an organizer of the SF Bitcoin (https://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Bitcoin-Social/) meetup.
