One of the core values of Ethical Culture is bringing out the best in others and thereby in ourselves. In stressful times, it is easier to bring out the best in others when we are taking care of our own selves.

Yoga has physical and mental benefits for practioners including improved balance and flexibility, reduced joint pain, and improved mental well-being. But the practice can feel intimidating when what we most often see are images of young, athletic people in complicated poses. Fortunately, Cathy Beckman, a long-time yoga practitioner and dance teacher, is here to dispel that myth and help us find ways to engage with yoga, even if we can't get down on the floor, or bend that way.

Whether you join us in person, or over Zoom, please wear clothes you can move in. If you plan to join us in person, feel free to bring yoga mats, blocks or straps.
