Rec League Humanities: The Future of Liberal Arts Education and Social Justice
Details
The Humanities have long been under attack for being “useless” or even “dangerous.” Especially now, universities across the nation have been cutting their funding, K-12 schools are emphasizing them less, and our society is increasingly seeing them as irrelevant.
Join member Matthew Miller, Humanities educator and social justice advocate, as we discuss the future of Humanities education, why it’s relevant, and how it can be opened up for people of all backgrounds in pursuit of the Good Life and a Just Society.
This Gathering is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. To receive the Zoom link, please email admin@ethicalfocus.org by noon on Friday.
