Science Communication Study Group
Details
Our Science Communication Study Group, in collaboration with Montclair State University, will explore evidence-based approaches to communicating science and strengthening public understanding.
As challenges ranging from climate change to artificial intelligence become increasingly complex, scientific literacy helps people evaluate information and make informed decisions. Concerns about public understanding of science and trust in scientific institutions make effective communication especially important.
Together, participants will examine promising communication strategies, then design public experiments to assess their effectiveness.
The group is open to anyone interested in strengthening scientific literacy. Weekly meetings, every Tuesday at 2 pm through Dec. 8, take place on Zoom. To join, contact Curt Collier at info@ethicalfocus.org.
