Our year-long 150th Anniversary celebration continues with our first-ever Ethical Street Fair on Sunday, September 7 from 12-6pm!
Join us on W 64th St. between Broadway and Central Park West for ethical vendors, international food, children’s activities, and special music, dance, and theater performances inside and outside our landmark meeting house, including:
- 12:00pm – Society Ecological Artist-in-Residence Jody Sperling and her Time Lapse Dance Ensemble
- 1:00pm – Musical performance by our long-time partners at Redeemer Presbyterian Church
- 1:30pm – A dramatic reading by our Ethics and the Theater team and a rendition of the Black National Anthem, written by Ethical Culture member James Weldon Johnson
- 2:30pm – Dance and drumming with Batalá New York
- 3:00pm – Ethical Music Friends Ensemble featuring the Society’s talented youth musicians
- 3:30pm – Musician, singer, songwriter, and storyteller David Coleman
- 4:00pm – Jazz ensemble from Music on The Inside
- 4:30pm – Songs of liberation with folk duo DuPreé and Barry Kornhauser
- 5:00pm – Afro-funk, Latin, and New Orleans grooves with Underground Horns
