Yi Pan Art Exhibit

Yi Pan will have her art exhibit at the Ethical Society August 22 through October 19. Her reception will be September 14 at 12:30 p.m.

Artist Statement:
As a neurologist, I use brain images to discover diseases, while my camera lens connects me to life and beauty. Something may be too small to see, too common to notice, too fast to catch, or too far away to reach until captured in the camera. Photographs are our memories of the past. They illuminate all forms of life around us, transform us to respect nature and people, further give us kindness, happiness, and endurance to live in the world.

The selected black and white images in the Ethical Society exhibit are my intimate connection to where I live and where I go. Light reviewed the world around me in basic texture and patterns. Leaves and flowers are my companions of peace, birds are my dream of freedom, buildings are my fascination of creation, water and land nurture me to live, and people inspire me with power and wisdom. Life is precious, and joyful.
