Don’t Stop the Music: Remembering the Power of Song in a Noisy World
Details
Music is more than entertainment—it’s a lifeline. In this heartfelt, interactive talk and live performance, Lynn O’Brien explores how music supports our health, relationships, and sense of meaning in everyday life. Drawing from her years as a board-certified music therapist and professional artist, she shares real stories and songs that reveal how music can calm, connect, and carry us through change. This is an invitation to listen differently—to notice how music meets us right where we are, and how it can help us stay grounded, creative, and connected in a noisy world.
Lynn O’Brien is a keynote speaker, seasoned singer, songwriter, and music therapist who has shared her voice with audiences around the world. With warmth, humor, and heart, she weaves music and story to invite reflection, connection, and joy. Drawing on over two decades of performing and healing work—from hospital rooms to concert halls—Lynn reminds us that music isn’t just something we listen to; it’s something that helps us live. She is thrilled to return to The Ethical Society for this Platform.
Lynn will also be performing music during Platform. She is an award-winning performing artist, singer, songwriter and speaker who partners with individuals and organizations alike to curate impactful live experiences that bring people together for good.
