On November 9, “Green Jean” Ponzi, green resources specialist with the Missouri Botanical Garden, will once again delight and inspire us. This presentation will explore and celebrate the work of the EarthWays Center throughout its quarter century of service to the St. Louis metropolitan area.

In 2000, Missouri Botanical Garden had the foresight and good fortune to engage a small team of Green pros and form a sustainability division. Today, the EarthWays Center staff is 30-strong, working with youth, adults and professionals in schools, colleges, businesses, municipalities, and many community groups around the St. Louis region. The Garden’s Green Jean Ponzi relates this story of community evolution, framed in perspective of what we can continue to learn and transplant from “sustainable solutions” over 25 years. Encouraging – practical – discussion welcome!
