Access Is Dignity: How We Build a More Just Community Together
Details
What does it mean to truly affirm the equal dignity and worth of all people?
Sara Ruiz, Executive Director of the Ashrei Foundation, will explore access as a core justice issue, showing how barriers to something as basic as a photo ID or timely, compassionate support during increased immigration enforcement can determine whether people are able to live safely and participate fully in their communities.
Drawing on Ashrei’s work, from the North City Photo ID Project to coordinating a 7-day-a-week Rapid Response Hotline, this presentation connects real community impact to the broader fight against economic exclusion and systemic oppression.
Join us for a conversation on what it takes to remove barriers in Missouri and how each of us can help build a more just and inclusive community.
Platform will feature music from Home Remedy, the harmony of Cindy Minnis & Melinda Monroe. Altos, guitar, keyboard, percussion, joy! Original and borrowed music from the 60s, 70s, and beyond.
