Aristotle’s virtue ethics asks a practical question: What does it mean to live well? Rather than focusing only on rules or consequences, Aristotle emphasizes the development of good character through habit, experience, and practical wisdom. In this study group, we’ll work through the Nicomachean Ethics together and explore how its ideas can be applied to our own lives.

This meetup is for serious study, not casual discussion. A copy of the Nicomachean Ethics is required for anyone interested in joining. Only newcomers who are interested in an introduction into virtue ethics may attend without a copy of the book.

The meetings will be biweekly. As this is the first meeting, this will mostly be an introduction to virtue ethics. Afterwards, there will be assigned chapters to read before the next meeting.
