August 2022: Gearing Up for the Merge

IRL meetups are back baby! We are continuing it in August with the help of AWS Malaysia, who have kindly sponsored their office as its venue. Since space is limited, please RSVP only if you are sure you can make it to the event.

This month, it will be all about the upcoming Merge. The merge of Ethereum's consensus & execution layers and change of consensus mechanism has been planned from the start of the protocol. With the last testnet, Goerli, planned to undergo its Merge in August and mainnet planned for September, we are super close to getting there.

We will be conducting a round table to learn important concepts about post-Merge Ethereum as well as a hands-on workshop on running your own node.

The meetup will be participatory! Everyone is welcome to share their insights in the round table (please make sure it's based on knowledge not BS) and should bring their laptops if they'd like to try running a node. Local legend (sorry for these hype-ish words ser) Caleb will be leading the workshop.
