September 2022: Ethereum for Enterprises

We continue our IRL meetups in September with a guest who's been calling KL home for the past year! Samrat will walk us through the innovation in secure multiparty coordination that is the Baseline Protocol.

Many multi-party workflows still rely on manual point-to-point interactions, which are prone to inconsistencies and broken agreements racking up costly reconciliation and repudiation efforts to resolve.

Companies would like to share their data, but know that keeping data localized is a more sound investment as compliance requirements often make data sharing undesirable. Zero Knowledge technology allows all parties in a networked business process to maintain their own systems-of-record in a verified state of consistency.

He is part of multiple open source initiatives and currently represents EEA as a member of the Project Governance Board and the Chair of the Technical Steering Committee of the Baseline Protocol.

The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) is a member-led non-profit organisation with a mission to drive enterprise adoption of Ethereum. Its members include Ernst & Young, JP Morgan and Microsoft.

The Baseline Protocol is a standard that defines a set of tools and libraries enabling enterprises to synchronize complex, multiparty, business processes with privacy and without moving data out of systems of record. Announced in 2020 and launched as an open source/standards project, it is governed by the OASIS Open standards body under the EEA Community Projects program.
