I bet many of us have not tried Guatemalan food, myself included. Seems to be heavy on hearty soups, chilis, tortillas and pumpkin seeds. Let's go sample some together at this little Mayan-art-decorated place. Figure about $42-$45/pp w/tax, tip, and fee.

Some likely menu items:

Hot figs appetizer - honey goat cheese, blue corn, blue corn tortillas, plum and pumpkin seeds

Zingy Salad - zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, jalapeno and sesame seeds

Pepian soup - chicken, pumpkin seed, sesame seed, green tomatillo, cinnamon, chile pasa, chile guaque, cumin, black pepper, breadcrumbs, potato, carrot and rice

Caldo Tlalpeno Rojo Soup - tomato, black pepper, oregano, garlic, onion, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, shredded chicken, oaxaca cheese, chipotle and crunchy blue corn tortilla strips

Green eggs & cheese sandwich - spinach, eggs, honey goat cheese & horseradish mayonnaise on sourdough, served with salad
