Sri Lankan feast in Richmond Hill
Details
In nearly seven years, we've never done Sri Lankan food together. So let's try this exotic cuisine in a neighborhood we've also never tried, near the end of the J train, at a place recommended by Dave Cook. Some items will be spicy, but I will mostly aim to order relatively mild so all can eat, with hot stuff available to spice up as needed. Guessing around $35-40/pp w/tax, tip, and fee.
Some likely items from their incredible long menu:
Crunch rolls w/mutton
Carrot salad OR Cucumber salad
Kothu w/chicken
Deviled pork
Egg fried rice
Lamprais (wrapped pockets) w/black pork curry
Lamprais w/mutton
Beef curry w/string hoppers
Ambul Thiyal - tuna in clay pot w/dry sour spices
Deviled vegetables

Please be considerate with your RSVP and change to No ASAP if not coming, so as not to inconvenience the restaurant or other diners. We do keep track of no-shows, and three can get you removed from the group. Also, please bring cash and some small bills; makes everyone's lives easier.
Transit: J train to 121st St, walk 2 blocks west on Jamaica Ave to just past Lefferts Blvd, hang right onto Myrtle Ave, walk one block further to Hillside.
