A Japanese-style hot pot, shabu-shabu is a fun and healthy interactive dining experience. Thinly sliced meat and various seafood, along with assorted vegetables, fishcakes, and noodles, are cooked in a simmering broth at the table in individual pots. “Shabu-shabu” is a Japanese onomatopoeia derived from the “swish-swish” sound made when sliced meat is brushed back and forth through the broth to cook quickly.
