Workshop: Sew a Skirt With Brett Bara
Hosted by Etsy Labs Events
Details
For this Monday's crafting activities, we're trying something a little bit different that usual, so read carefully... We're starting the evening with a sewing workshop led by Brett Bara, with a limited capacity (sign up right here for that), followed by a Craft Night + book-signing party (https://www.meetup.com/etsylabs/events/27393621/) open to one and all.
If you can't make it in-person, we will be hosting a live Online Lab (http://www.etsy.com/community/online-labs) at 3:30 p.m. on 8/29 with a demo of how to sew a skirt.

When you see how easy it is to sew your own quick and comfy skirt, you won't want to buy one off the rack again! Join author, television host, blogger and designer, Brett Bara (http://www.brettbara.com/) at the Etsy Labs to learn how to make the One-Hour Skirt project from her brand new book, Sewing in a Straight Line (available for purchase at Craft Night). Here's to staying cool and fashionable for the rest of this hot summer!
When is it? This skirt-making work shop will run from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, August 29 at the Etsy Labs. Please arrive on time, as we will start the demo at 4:15 p.m. sharp.
Do I need to know how to sew? Yes! For this workshop, we are requiring that participants have basic sewing skills already under their belt. If you know the basics of operating a sewing machines, then this is the workshop for you! This is our first foray into a slightly more advanced (but still accessible) topic at Craft Night. We hope you all have fun, and feedback is welcome, as always.
If you've never laid a finger on a sewing machine, sit tight and join us for the evening session or another sewing Craft Night (such as making bags with Bags for the People). http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/b/a/b/event_43719851.jpeg
