Join us this Friday in welcoming guest leader Zahir from Portland. Zahir has been leading Dances of Universal Peace in Portland and the Northwest since 2014, after first encountering the Dances in the early 2000's at Breitenbush Hot Springs, with Sheik Jamshed Storer, of blessed memory. Zahir follows the Sufi path, and deeply appreciates the teachers who have so generously shared their wisdom with him. Zahir experiences the Dances as an opportunity to create, collaboratively and joyfully, through music, dance, and breath.

Bring yourself into an evening of spiritually uplifting dances gathered from universal themes!

Experience the revitalizing and healing energy of music, spiritual song and movement of the Dances of Universal Peace. Dancers of all levels, including children, are able to follow along and dance together. Each dance is taught afresh at each gathering.

Many of the songs use chants, melodies, or sacred phrases from spiritual traditions around the world including indigenous and earth and nature-based spirituality. Movements are simple circle dance movements.
The Dances of Universal Peace occur in Eugene on first, third, and fifth Fridays! Donations requested, though not required for attendance. Please bring water bottle for personal hydration. Masks are optional. Please avoid fragrances as some participants have sensitivities.
