Morning Photography Hike - Spencer Butte

Let’s head up Spencer Butte for sweeping views over Eugene and plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty along the way. The trail is about 1.5 miles one way with a moderate incline, winding through lush forest before opening up to panoramic summit views.

If you haven't done this trail before, it is a pretty steep incline, so be prepared for that. We will likely be hiking at a photographers pace, so there will probably be plenty of stops to rest on the way up.

What to Bring:

• Sturdy hiking shoes with good traction
• Water to stay hydrated
• Snacks or a light lunch for the top
• Layers or a light jacket (it can be breezy at the summit)
• Your camera gear (whatever you like to shoot with)

We might grab lunch afterwards for anyone who wants to join us.
