Grass Volleyball

VOLLEYBALL GUIDELINES

We welcome people of all skill levels at most events. Some events will have an indicated minimum skill rating. Players need to have adequate physical and mental health to get to the ball, pass the ball to or near the intended target, and get the ball over the net most of the time.

RSVPs are required for all events. After you RSVP, you will be waitlisted until we verify our eligibility to play. The event status may show full even though we have fewer players than that. This is to help manage RSVPs.

Sand volleyball events will feature doubles, triplets, or quads per side with a preference for doubles or triplets. A minimum of 4 players are needed to hold a sand event.

Grass volleyball events require a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 14 players per court.. We can shrink the court boundary size to accommodate 6 players.

WAIVER

I hereby agree to the following:

Each person is responsible for their own insurance. Eugene Springfield Volleyball does not provide medical insurance coverage for participants.

In consideration for the right to participate in this activity, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eugene Springfield Volleyball, its organizers, and agents for any claim for injury or damage suffered by myself or others as a result of my participation in this activity. I understand that there are inherent risks in this activity and that training and conditioning are necessary. I agree to assume those risks on behalf of myself and for all guests I invite under my RSVPs.

EYE PROTECTION

In consideration of the right to participate in volleyball games while wearing EYEWEAR (as listed below); I release all claims against the referees of my game, Eugene Springfield Volley, its organizers, and agents for damages suffered by me. I understand that the wearing of EYEWEAR (to include, but not limited to: eyeglasses and goggles) during a volleyball match creates inherent risks to both myself and other players. I agree to assume those risks on behalf of myself and to be responsible for damages/injury to other players that may befall as a result of my wearing eye protection.

My membership to Eugene Springfield Volleyball or RSVPs to events is my acknowledgment that I have read and understood the above agreement.
