
What we’re about
This group is for those who need someone along side to encourage you during your workouts. If you have social anxiety and need a friend with you, or you want to make some new friends while also spending quality time getting fit together, then this is the place for you, and I’d love to involve you. I also know the main basics, so don’t worry about not knowing what to do or expect. These workouts aren’t about me, they don’t go my way. It goes our way. I’m focused on lifting and cardio, but I’m always open to new things you might want to try.
Just to give you all a little background on why I’ve started this group…I’ve always loved weight lifting. Ever since football in high school, I’ve loved it. But most of the time it feels like something is missing, and that might be you, and the more we expand this group, the more other people who feel that way can find someone to be their gym buddy.
This will be at the Planet Fitness on West 11th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97405. I have a black card membership, so anybody can come with me, only one though. I’m pretty sure it’s an unlimited amount of times, so no worries on that.
If changes need to be made and I need to go to another location, I should be more than happy to do that. Or if you have a gym that offers me to come workout with you and it requires no fee, then let’s do it!
Also, the gym doesn’t always need to be our workout spot. It doesn’t ever have to if you aren’t comfortable with it. I’m always down for a hike or bike ride. I have two kayaks so we can race on them on a river or lake…trust me, it’s tiring racing.
This first better half of the year has been pretty laid back. I said this was gonna be my year, that this is the year I work hard make money, get fit, and make myself a more disciplined man. But that hasn’t happened, and I haven’t been trying hard enough. I hate feeling that way, and I don’t want anybody else to feel that way either. Unfortunately there’s only so much that I can influence. I’ve missed working out with my friends and the encouragement I got just by working out with them. It doesn’t affect my gym performance only, it impacts my life in great ways as well. A huge one is self discipline. I need that and I think a speak for a lot of us on that too lol. The year isn’t over. We still have over 5 months until the year is over, and that’s enough time to get a lot closer to my goals. I only need 6 months of hard work for any of it to show. It doesn’t stop after that. I will (and hopefully you will too) continue grinding on getting fit. So please let me know or sign up, you would be of huge favor to me, others, and possibly yourself.
