Vigil at 4J's Budget Committee

Details
Next Monday, April 28, 4J's budget committee will be talking about how funds will be spent next year.
As you know, there are new funds for 4J next year, but the budget is still very tight and tough choices need to be made.
After years of cuts, it's possible that more teaching jobs will be cut, making class sizes larger, and that we still may have the shortest school year in the nation.
Come for one hour to stand up for putting students' needs first, to send the message that we feel what's important is lower class sizes, restored cut school days,
and making sure parents have transparent information about the different possible scenarios for next year.
You don't have to speak--but it's important that we make a good showing of parents in the audience.
So please come for one hour, next Monday, April 28, from 6 to 7 pm, to 200 N. Monroe.
This is the most important budget meeting of the year.
Everyone is busy, but we need to show that this matters, that parents are watching.
Feel free to bring your kids.
If you have questions about the meeting or the budget issues, feel free to contact Joy Marshall with Stand for Children at jmarshall@stand.org
