Our first event has been moved to 30th of May (Memorial Day) to give you an Introduction to Indo Dutch Cuisine and Heritage.
We will have a presentation on Indo Dutch Culinary Heritage. Please, join us for the 3rd annual TIP TALKS presented by The Indo Project:
The history & evolution of the cuisine – 350+ years in the making. Learn about the differences between Dutch Indies & Indonesian (Indisch and Indonesisch). Indische rijsttafel – officially part of Dutch cultural heritage. Why is it, that in terms of heritage, food seems to be the most compelling one?

Guest speaker:
Jeff Keasberry, is the Vice Chair of the TIP board and a published author of two cookbooks (http://keasberry.com/en/cookbooks/) in the Netherlands: Indische Keukengeheimen & de nieuwe Indische keuken. Carrying on the legacy of his grandmother Oma Keasberry, the author whose family was featured at the exhibit of ‘The History of the Indische Cuisine’ for three consecutive years at the Tong Tong Fair in The Hague (the largest Eurasian festival in the world) is now working on a English version of the Indo Dutch Heritage Cooking.
We will also present:
Indo food statistics gathered over the years by the Worldwide Indo Challenge. The science behind memories conjured up by the olfactory sensesDo we lean more towards a fusion of Dutch and Indonesian food? Or towards Indonesian? Dutch? What do the stats reveal? Folkloric medicine found in traditional foods.
Guest speaker:
Jamie Stern is member of the TIP board and Director of Research. She will do a presentation on: The Development of Our Present-day Geographical Portrait and will share some data regarding Indo Dutch Food:
