Café Crème Central Library, 710 West Cesar Chavez, Austin TX 78701
Their cocktail happy hour is $5 cocktails from 4pm-7pm
This new business, which started as a bakery on the East Side before expanding into a cafe, is well known for its French- and Asian-inspired menu, with crêpes, croissants, and bagels. “My husband, Cédric, is French, so that’s where the French-Vietnamese thing comes from,” Sue - who owns and runs the Cafe wit her sister Kimmi - explains. They also keep it funky with different teas, dirty chai, and Vietnamese coffee featured next to an Austin staple: housemade breakfast tacos.
The Cafe was opened in July.
Kimmi and Sue recently added cocktails and boba tea to the menu and expanded the operating hours of the cafe from 7am to 9pm, so with high quality salads, sandwiches, bagels, savory and sweet crêpes, tacos, and croissants available all day, there’s literally something for everyone here at the Central Library. And very delicious macaroons...
If you have never been to the Central Library make sure to take a quick tour... even for 10 min.
