Ninth Street Women Book Club

Details
We will be discussing Chapter 1 on April 13th.
It's called "Lena, Lenore, Lee," pp. 21 through 34.
Ninth Street Women, by Mary Gabriel, explores the inner lives of the Female Abstract Expressionists. Delve into the minds of Lee Krasner, Elaine DeKooning, Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, and Grace Hartigan.
Learn about these gutsy women and the path they forged through the Male-Dominated Art World of their time. We will discuss the introduction in our first meeting. Please read that part, and bring a copy of the book with you. We will continue meeting on a regular basis to finish the book.
This will be the second meeting. If you couldn't attend the first one, it's ok. We discussed the Prologue, and had some heated discussions about politics, gender, equality, motherhood, career paths, and more. If you missed the first one, just please read the Prologue on pages 5 to 15, which is what we discussed at our first meeting.
