Reading - Eternal Treblinka: Our Treatment of Animals and the Holocaust

I am going to read "Eternal Treblinka: Our Treatment of Animals and the Holocaust" by Charles Patterson, and I hope you can join me!

As described by the publisher: "this book explores the similar attitudes and methods behind modern society's treatment of animals and the way humans have often treated each other, most notably during the Holocaust. The book's epigraph and title are from "The Letter Writer," a story by the Yiddish writer and Nobel Laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer: "In relation to them, all people are Nazis; for the animals it is an eternal Treblinka."

We will discuss the insights (if any) of this book together at dinner over some delicious food in a very small group (~ 5 people or less). This will probably be a difficult read, so when discussing the book, let us be mindful of the sensitive and emotional nature of the subject.
