Call for submissions for the April 2026 Long Development Group. I'm gonna ask for anybody who wants to submit to send me(oatmantrent@gmail.com) to get their piece to me by the 10th of April and our meeting will be on the 30th this time, the last Thursday of April.

I look forward to seeing y'all in reading what gets to me!

--Long Development Group mission blurb is to provide feedback and critique of a longer, more developed piece of 10,000 to 30,000 words. To remind those interested in participating: the goal of this group is to analyze and give more overview-type feedback (e.g., plot, premise, structure, consistent voice, etc.)

---Authors are encouraged to write a full summary of their submissions/project’s plot, this can be abstracted bullet points if needed. (circa 500 words.)
Feel to include the mission of the piece. What is the X, Y and Z of this story? Feel free to include tropes, inspirations, or the ontological motivations for the why this story exists. (Circa 500 words. summary/motivations do not count against the 30,000 word limit.)
Please include all questions that you would like to be answered. What do you want us to read for? What do you think is a particular weakness of the work? Struggling to develop a subplot, any motifs, things like that. Maximum 20 questions, try to make the questions as in-depth as possible.

Our in-person discussion—

Meeting location and time April 30th, 7:00 p.m. In the lobby of the Orrington Hotel, 1710 Orrington Avenue.

We look forward to your joining the nest Developmental Group meeting!
