MEN'S DISCUSSION GROUP 29 Hiking at Grafton Forest + Group dinner
Details
Greetings brothers,
These are the details of our MEN'S DISCUSSION GROUP 29, Hiking edition. On Saturday October 25th
We will meet at living Hope parking lot at 1 PM and be on the road by 1:15.
We will be going to Rensselaer County. If anyone lives on the other side of the river such as Troy, they can meet the rest of us there in grafton park.
The plan is to hike trails in the Grafton Forest.
The hike will be about 3 miles or so, and we can extend it if everyone is doing well. We'll take lots of breaks for snacks and views and enjoy exploring things in the woods.
I recommend wearing hiking shoes or footwear suitable for muddy or rocky trail conditions. I have a few size 10 1/2 hiking boots I will bring if anyone needs them.
Hikers should have a small pack and bring snacks to munch on, and some water and/or gatorade to drink. I'll bring a few packs in case someone needs one. Pack a rain jacket just in case it happens to rain while we're out. I'll bring some lightweight rain gear in case anyone needs it. Dress warm, in layers, so you can peel layers off or add them on as needed. Rich Elton will bring binoculars.
We will take our time with the hike, and no-one will be left behind or feel like they're holding the group up, and we'll take lots of breaks. It will be a fun outing.
After we get back to the cars, we will go out for supper and enjoy some great fellowship together over a nice meal, please bring your book we may read a chapter or two. I think the Country View Diner on Rt 7 east of Troy would be a good choice, and it's on the way home.
If you have any questions, just let me know!
