Here are some useful details for all meetings:
This is a casual, fun meet-up for lovers of literature from the periods. There are no requirements to join the group, except that you love to read and discuss these works! Anyone who has read at least some of the novel is invited to participate.
We meet in the bar area of the Shutesbury Athletic Club. The venue serves as a bar and also as a community center. Some members may choose to enjoy a libation, while others may not. The venue does sell snacks (chips, jerky, and candy). Feel free to bring snacks to share, if you feel moved to do so. There are no dietary guidelines for snacks; members are welcome to bring what they like (if they decide to bring anything at all). If snacks are homemade, then please disclose the ingredients in case of allergies. This is a group that discusses literature. No conversations concerning religion or politics (or related topics) are allowed, unless clearly pertinent to the discussion of the works and unpacked within that context.
We respect each other in this group. No discrimination or bullying behaviors of any kind are tolerated. Together, we create a safe space to share ideas about literature and to build a friendly, welcoming community.

Flo-Etry
Evening Springtime, 110 Hillside Road, Suite 24, South Deerfield, MA, USExpress yourself. Move your body. Find your voice.
What happens when poetry begins in the body instead of on the page?
Flo-Etry is an imaginative workshop that blends gentle yoga, intuitive movement, free-form dance, expressive writing, and spoken word into one deeply nourishing creative experience. Through mindful movement, breath, and playful prompts, you'll quiet the inner critic and awaken the creative current already flowing within you.
Rather than striving for perfect poetry or perfect movement, this gathering invites authentic expression. Intuitive flow helps loosen what words sometimes cannot, while writing gives shape to feelings, images, memories, and insights that emerge naturally.
Throughout the session, you'll be guided through accessible somatic practices, creative writing invitations, and opportunities to share (always optional) within a warm and encouraging community.
No writing experience, dance experience, or yoga experience is necessary—only curiosity.Come reconnect with your inner muse, discover unexpected inspiration, and leave with fresh writing, deeper self-awareness, and the joyful reminder that creativity is something inhabited, not performed.
