Maxx FG will walk you through how colors are created and how they play together for a different medium each month. We will meet Mondays at Push/Pull at 6pm, from April 7th through June 30, to discuss the relevant chapters for each session.
Missed the first few sessions? No worries! You don't have to go to every session to participate. Drop in at any time--you are always welcome, no matter where you are in the book.
Towards the end of the sessions, we will transition to an open studio format in our classroom to work on art pieces inspired by the book. Book Club participants will be invited to contribute visual pieces inspired by the novel to our group art show in August. All readers are welcome to participate in the Book Club though, whether or not your goal is to make art!
Our group show inspired by the book will be held on August 9. (Details on how to submit your art piece will be provided closer to the date.)
This is a free event sponsored by Bal-Art, a project of Push/Pull dedicated to creating sustainable careers for artists and to connecting artists and the community. Help support our free programs with an optional donation at checkout.
