As part of MMODE 2026 / Fashion Week Montréal, founder of Asymmetric by Design, Tonya Dickenson unveils Your Personal Manifesto — an exhibition of one-of-a-kind designs crafted from vintage, antique, and recycled treasures gathered across 45 years of global journeys. Each jewel is accompanied by a certificate that quantifies the grams of carbon not emitted and the liters of water saved, proving that slow luxury can protect the planet.
Recognized as one of Québec’s most visionary entrepreneurs and a global sustainability leader, Tonya demonstrates that jewelry can be more than ornament: it is activism, legacy, and art. Visitors will explore collections that celebrate diversity, women’s rights, peace, and environmental stewardship, each piece a wearable declaration that what we choose to wear can change the world.
As Tonya reminds us in her essay on sustainable luxury: “Revolutions aren’t always loud. Sometimes they are built bead by bead, action by action — each choice a protest, a promise, and a step towards a more equitable and greener future.”
Runway Reimagined: Exclusive with the Creator
September 26 I 5 PM- 7 PM
This exclusive event reimagines the traditional runway — instead of models, each piece is artfully exhibited at the museum. As a guest, you’ll have the rare opportunity to try on select designs under the personal guidance of Tonya Dickenson, founder of Asymmetric by Design.
Recognized as one of Québec’s Top 25 Emerging Entrepreneurs (2025), a Top Global 50 Women in Sustainability nominee, a two-time finalist at Montreal Fashion Week (MMODE), and a certified artist of the Canada Council for the Arts, Tonya is paving the way for sustainable fashion and redefining what it means to design for our times.
More than a runway, this is your chance to connect directly with the creator: ask questions, receive exclusive personalized fashion advice, and even book a private consultation. It’s also a unique opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind wearable art — or customize a piece to reflect your own style and identity.
