FEBRUARY'S ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about expanding your skills. You'll complete two required dives—deep diving and underwater navigation—then choose three additional specialty dives based on the local environment and what excites you most, for a total of five dives.
Here are a few of the many options: Deep, Digital Underwater Photography, Dive Against Debris, Dry Suit, Enriched Air Nitrox, Fish Identification, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation, Rescue, and Wreck Diver.

All dives are conducted in a Dry Suit!
If you are not Dry Suit certified, you can add it on at a discount!
A pool orientation is required for new dry suiters.

CLASS FEE: $399
Includes: PADI eLearning, all rental equipment, 5 dives, eCert

ADD DRY SUIT COURSE: $150 (reg $350)

WHAT TO BRING:
All your dive gear, weights, lights, cameras etc.
2 tanks
Dry bag with dry clothes/towel
Cert Card
DAN Insurance info, if applicable
SMB (Surface Marker Buoy) for live boat pick-ups
Once your gear is on the boat, there is limited space and we will not have room for totes on the boat.

DIRECTIONS:
From Northbound I-5 take exit 134 Left on Portland Ave.
From Southbound I-5 take exit 135 Right on Portland Ave.
Get in left lane on Portland Ave. and proceed approx. 8/10 of a mile and take a Left on St. Paul go approx. 3/10 of a mile and take a Left at the blinking yellow light (15th st.)
15th will take a hard Left and turn into D st. Just after the Delin Dock sign park on the street.
We have carts and will help you load from the street.

WAIVERS:
You must sign the boat's waiver online.
You must sign the shop's waiver that will be emailed to you.

Dive the abandoned Titan I ICBM complex near Royal City, WA.

The water is clean groundwater, seeping in since the Air Force turned the pumps off in the early 60's.
You'll enter a 160 foot tall chamber that housed a ballistic nuclear missile!
The bottom of the shaft is 110 feet straight down!
You're standing on the massive steel cribwork that lifted the 100 ft, 110 ton ICBM to the surface for launch. It has waited in the pitch black darkness for almost 50 years.
Descend into Cold War history.

This dive is both a deep dive and a night dive. The bottom of the missile launchers are approximately 110 ft deep, and there is no ambient light.

COST: $350 per person (plus tax)
Includes -Air Fills or Rental Tanks Prior to Event
Lunch is provided
50% off rental gear if needed

SILO DIVE!
WHEN: Saturday, May 23rd
ARRIVE: 8:30AM
LEAVE: 5PM (or sooner)

RIVER DIVE!
WHEN: Sunday, May 24th
ARRIVE: TBA
LEAVE: TBA
FEE: TBA - There is a chance to dive the river on Sunday but they can only make that call on Saturday. If there is a fee, it will be collected on ?Sunday.

TRAVELING THERE:
You can make this a 1 day trip.
It's about a 3 hour drive to Royal City. Need to arrive by 8:30am!
Or, get a hotel room or Airbnb in Ellensburg etc.
You are on your own to make your travel or overnight stay arrangements.

PREREQUISITES & REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced certification (EDS has the final say)
Recent Cold Water Dives
Night Diving Light and backup
Signed Statement of Understanding (EDS will supply)
Signed Missile Silo Waiver (EDS will supply)
Good physical shape - walk-in is moderately difficult

WHAT TO BRING:
All your gear, appropriate for cold water.
2 tanks (Doubles, Sidemount, Ponies ok with EDS say)
Dive lights
Cameras ok
Save a dive/spares kit
Appropriate clothes for the tour and climate
