Shaded El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve hike (+ lunch at Alice's Restaurant)

Beautiful hike in El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space; the trail is mostly in a shaded forest.

Explore the varied woodlands of the Sierra Morena, Gordon Mill, Timberview, and Steam Donkey Loops. Hike beneath a lush canopy of hardwood, Douglas fir, and second-growth redwood, accompanied by the gentle murmur of numerous streams. Strategically placed benches invite pauses to appreciate the river's soothing sounds, while occasional clearings offer breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean.

This is a moderately challenging hike with some steep inclines towards the end.
