The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has launched—but how was this incredible observatory built, and what will it discover?

We're taking a deep dive into NASA's newest flagship space telescope. We'll explore how the Roman Space Telescope was assembled from its massive optical system to its revolutionary Wide Field Instrument and experimental Coronagraph.

Roman is now beginning its journey toward its observation point in space, where it will investigate some of the universe's biggest mysteries: dark energy, dark matter, galaxies, cosmic expansion, and exoplanets. With Hubble-like image quality and a field of view at least 100 times larger, Roman is designed to survey the universe on an unprecedented scale.

We'll discuss the engineering, the launch aboard SpaceX Falcon Heavy, and why Roman could transform astronomy alongside Hubble and the James Webb Space Telescope.
