Last week, Jeff introduced us to the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. Tonight, we’re turning from the spacecraft to the remarkable woman it was named after.

Nancy Grace Roman formed an astronomy club with friends while she was still a child. She went on to become NASA’s first chief astronomer and its first female executive. She brought scientists, engineers, government officials, and Congress together to help transform the dream of a large space telescope into what became Hubble.

We’ll explore her journey, her persistence, and what she can teach every one of us about becoming the person we want to be before we have a telescope, title, or an invitation.
